Total randomness of course but I just wanted to record that today is the first official snow of 2009. woohoo I know you want pics. Well, I ain't took any yet. I been out and about town all day like the good little snow bunny that I am. LOL

Yep, I'm one of those crazy people that DOES NOT stay home in inclement weather. I make an excuse to go out. I love the snow. Other than that life is good. Thanksgiving was great. Food was fabulous. There were only 7 of us this year but we had enough food for 40 people. LOL Seriously- not kidding.

Been doing alot of reading n stuff. Been doing alot of everything BUT writing. Been taking a break from that.

Hope everyone else out there in La La Land is doing okay.

Lots of love to everyone.

It is only Thursday and I've already read 3 novels.

Hailey's Birthday was fun. I baked her a beautiful cake with flourescent pink icing trimmed in black. (I know my spelling sucks) It was really pretty. Our anniversary on Sept. 10th was great too. 10 years! woohoo

My 30th birthday is on Sept. 28th. UGH. It too shall pass. LOL

Other than that- nothing to report. Just looking for more things to bake!

1st-Sep-2009 07:17 pm - Changes
First day of September. YAY! September always marks the new year for me. Well, for a lot of reasons.

1> My anniversary--- IT'S #10 THIS YEAR. Sept. 10th is our 10th anniversary. Damn we're gettin' old
2> Hailey's birthday. Her birthday is the 9th. HAPPY BDAY BABY GIRL!
3> My brother's birthday. His birthday is Sept. 10th
4> My step-daughter's birthday. Sept. 17th. WOOHOO TABBY #17
5>My Birthday. UGH big 3-0 on Sept. 28th

So yeah, I can't wait for this month. It's the most exciting month of the year for me. Plus, the weather is already starting to change. The evenings are much calmer and cooler and the leaves are patiently awaiting to begin their yearly turn.

As for me- been taking a break from everything. Just working PRN doing lots of stuff around the house and lots of family time. This past time of me getting sick really put things into perspective for me. I need to slow down. WAAAAYYYY DOWN. My lungs aren't going to hold out forever- so it's literally time I start enjoying every breath I take.

Will be joining up at the health club at the hospital soon. Swimming looks like my best bet. Definitely gotta work on builiding up my lungs and STOP ALL THE STRESS EATING.

Other than that- life is good. It's nice to be able to actually enjoy things like cooking now.

Will update more. Lots of love! Now I'm off to the library (my favorite place here recently.)

I planted some birdseed. A bird came up.  Now I don't know what to feed it.

I had amnesia once -- or was it twice?

I went to San Francisco. I found someone's heart. Now what?

Protons have mass? I didn't even know they were Catholic.

All I ask ... is a chance to prove that money can't make me happy.

If the world were a logical place, men would ride horses sidesaddle.

What is a "free" gift? Aren't all gifts free?

They told me I was gullible and I believed them.

Teach a child to be polite and courteous in the home and, when he grows up, he'll never be able to merge his car onto a freeway.

Two can live as cheaply as one, for half as long.

Experience is the thing you have left when every thing else is gone.

What if there were no hypothetical questions?

The shampoo promised me extra body and I gained three pounds.

One nice thing about egotists: They don't talk about other people.

When the only tool you own is a hammer, every problem begins to look like a 20 penny nail.

A flashlight is a case for holding dead batteries.

My weight is perfect for my height -- which varies.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.

The cost of living hasn't affected its popularity.

How can there be self-help "groups"?

Is there another word for synonym?

Where do forest rangers go to "get away from it all"?

It's not an optical illusion. It just looks like one.

Is it my imagination, or do buffalo wings taste like chicken?

20th-Jun-2009 09:41 pm - Frustrated
I wonder why this is....

everytime that I actually take the TIME & EFFORT to sit down and write a serious piece of poetry.... nobody responds to it. BUT if I just half-ass in a few seconds a piece that's humorous- everybody loves it.

HMMMMMMMM.....

that's totally frustrating to me!
19th-Jun-2009 06:21 pm - Ghetto Booty
there goes her badonkadonk
gyratin' like cheap honky tonk

19th-Jun-2009 06:21 pm - The Dance- Interlocking Rubaiyat
I'll light romantic candles just for you
I'll set up the table just for us two
I'll make sure to put out all the lights
I'll slip on the stockings and high-heel shoes

We'll dance away into the dusky night
You'll whisper sweet kisses to me- delight
with you could never be delayed too long
We'll dance away into the dusky night

You'll lean in and mouth the words to our song
You'll graze my hair as we shuffle along
You'll get drunk on the smell of my perfume
delight could never be delayed too long
